Toxic Mutation
Swamp pets and Shroomie-era humidity introduced Toxic as the poison-tag every bracket stacker wanted — green-tinged crops that scream event meta to experienced traders.
How to trigger
Toxic procs when Toxic or Swamp pets linger near mature crops, during Jungle Humidity event weather, and nuclear glitch storm variants tied to Shroomie patch cycles. Shroomie pet directly nudges Toxic and Overgrown rates on fungal plots.

Stacking rules
Toxic is environmental at 14× from pet/event overlap. Stacks with Overgrown humidity stacks, Corrosive, Infected during spore events. Radioactive (72×) is higher-tier nuclear cousin. Growth slot separate — Rainbow still applies.
Toxic value impact
Shroomie humidity farming
Toxic (14×) + Overgrown (5× growth) requires understanding two slots: Overgrown is growth at 5× in current data, Toxic is env at 14×. EnvBracket from Toxic alone = 14. Add Corrosive (29×) during acid rain: sum 43, count 2, envBracket = 42 before growth multiplier.
Equip Shroomie during Jungle Humidity forecasts; without event pet, humidity alone underperforms in community benchmarks.
Toxic trade disclosure
Toxic premiums spike first two Shroomie event weeks then normalize. Screenshot spore UI and list pet assistance transparently — pure-weather Toxic commands slight premium from collectors.
Common questions
- Toxic vs Radioactive?
- Radioactive at 72× is higher nuclear event tag. Both environmental — can stack if patch allows during glitch storms.
- Does Toxic need Overgrown?
- No — independent procs. Community farms both during humidity for dual-slot value on mushroom plots.
