Ember Mutation
Heat waves scorch plots and leave smoldering mutations that spice up summer trade metas. Ember sits in the mid-tier heat band — strong enough to anchor env stacks when blizzards are months away.
How to trigger
Ember procs during Sunny weather and Heat Wave forecasts when crops endure sustained high temperatures. Fire Wisp and heat-oriented pets amplify proc frequency on exposed tiles. Ember also triggers from fire pet abilities that simulate heat wave conditions on adjacent crops.

Stacking rules
Ember is environmental at 25× and conflicts with Frozen, Chilled, and Frostbite in the thermal matrix — heat and cold extremes do not coexist. Ember stacks with Solar, Burnt, Sundried, and Flaming when heat intensifies. Growth slot independent; Rainbow still applies at harvest.
Ember value impact
Heat-wave farming loops
Ember envBracket solo = 1 + (25 − 1) = 24. Stack Solar (22×) and Sundried (21×) during prolonged heat: sum 68 minus three plus one = envBracket 66 before growth. On Golden (20×) mid-game crops, triple-heat env stacks rival single-tag storm harvests on lighter base values.
Schedule plantings so harvest lands in the final hours of heat wave forecasts — Ember proc rates drop when weather cools even if crops look visually charred.
Common questions
- Can Ember and Frozen both apply?
- No. Ember conflicts with Frozen and other cold-tier tags. Harvest snapshot uses the winning thermal path, not both.
- Does watering block Ember?
- Wet and Ember do not share the standard Wet-Frozen conflict pair, but rain during heat waves may shift procs toward Wet instead of Ember depending on active weather flags at harvest.
